While we are responsible for providing the necessary medical documentation for your pet, we are not a travel agency. Meeting all travel requirements is a collaborative effort between you, as the pet owner, and our veterinary team. It is your responsibility to verify and ensure compliance with the specific regulations of your destination country.

A $75 deposit is required to schedule your exam and consultation. This deposit will be applied toward the cost of the health certificate. Please note that cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made in advance, and the deposit is non-refundable if the appointment is missed without prior notice.
For your pet’s health certificate appointment, it’s important that any required vaccinations, tests, or medical concerns are addressed prior to the appointment. Please note that these vaccinations or treatments cannot be administered during the health certificate exam itself.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is currently updating requirements for dogs returning to the United States, especially those coming from high-risk rabies countries. It’s critical that all necessary paperwork and examinations are completed before leaving the U.S. If a dog departs without fulfilling these steps, it will need to be re-entered as though it is a foreign-vaccinated dog.
Important Update: Until July 31, 2025, a USDA-endorsed health certificate can temporarily replace the Certification of U.S.-Issued Rabies Vaccination form.
Important Shipping Label Information
For countries that require an original ink USDA endorsement for international health certificates, Lodi Animal Hospital will assist you in creating an overnight UPS express shipping label to ensure there are no delays in processing. The cost for shipping typically ranges from $70 to $100.
