Did you know Animal Hospital, Lodi provides thorough Pet Ear Exams? Often times we are unaware of the cause of our pet’s abnormal behavior. If your pet seems to be scratching its ears, shaking its head, or showing imbalance, it may have an ear infection. Our veterinarians will exam your pet with an otoscope to determine any issues within the ear. We are able to see the full length of the ear canal and look for ear mites, tumors, infections, and more.

At times the pain can be too great for our dog and cat patients. If this is the case we may need to apply a local anesthesia or sedation in order to get an accurate diagnosis. We want your pet to be as comfortable as possible during an procedure we may have to undertake.

Hopefully, your pet will have an uncomplicated ear concern, like a minor infection, that can be relieved in one treatment. Sometimes, however; additional treatment or surgery may be necessary. Or, your dog or cat may be required to get multiple treatments. Whatever the case, our veterinarians are fully qualified for all pet ear ailments.
